Graham & Sirenna, founders

Graham & Sirenna met in 2017, when they both enrolled in a Business of Outdoor Adventure program in the Ottawa Valley of Ontario where they were fortunate to learn all about a number of outdoor adventure sports. Through these single and multi-day trips they were able to learn the value of a well-planned trip full of good food to fuel those adventures, and just how important it is to make sure you get enough energy while out in the wilderness.

Both Sirenna and Graham have been lucky enough in their lives to see and do a lot of exciting things: Canoeing the Yukon and Upper Horton rivers of Northern Canada; backpacking through the Scottish Highlands, Mohave desert of Southern California, or the mountains of New Zealand; and rafting down the Main Salmon river in Idaho, USA are just a handful of these adventures. These experiences led to a newfound desire to explore their own backyard (Canada) some more, eventually bringing them to their new home here on Cape Breton Island in the spring of 2020.

Sirenna has spent the past 15 years learning about and loving food through attending culinary school, and working in a variety of exciting places and environments, before connecting once again with her outdoor roots, such as: Managing a cake company in her hometown of Kingston, ON; working in Jasper, Alberta as a pastry cook; and some time working under a vegan chef in Southern California, where her love of dehydrated vegan foods was first ignited.

Their shared love for good food and adventure quickly led to the creation of Camp Cook’s Cache, and now they are proud to say they’re sustainably fueling the adventures of nature lovers all over Canada.

a love for good food & the great outdoors

Our love of food means a dedication to fine-tuning our recipes to create something that is so tasty, it has you stoked to make dinner after an exhausting day of hiking, paddling, or checking off that extensive sightseeing list around the Cabot Trail. It also means we try our best to bring variety to the table, while also sourcing out ingredients locally or organically wherever possible. As for the great outdoors, they are the inspiration behind the stories our food tells, and the driving force in our products' practical and minimalistic qualities.
